Educational materials

Animals of Appalachia is currently working on our first educational packet. This packet will include five lessons, each based on a different animal and the current conservation status. Kids will learn about the environment of the animal including plants, environmental parameters, and other animals that live in the same environment.

The plans for an activity is included with each lesson. These activities range from building a home for the animal in the lesson to art projects related to the animal. Varying the activities helps to keep kids interested in the subject. We will be updating this page often to keep you in the loop. Check back soon.
